"On Safari " pair of hall chairs

This pair of chairs were probably heading to the tip before we rescued them, the cloth had all been ripped and they basically looked very outdated and unloved. Too start the makeover for them the frames had to be painted, the majority of the frame has been painted in a satin black with the front stretcher being painted in a soft gold to break it up.

The seat and the inner- back have been upholstered in a polyester printed velvet, that has images of safari animals, giraff, leopard and monkies. the outerback has a vintage style gold velvet panel with the addition of gold decorative studs, to secure the fabric to the chair.

The whole look of the chair has been completly changed and now and has a nostalgic nod to the campaign furniture of years gone by.

Although originally these chairs would of been dining chairs, they could now be placed anywhere in the home to create a statement. they would look great eitherside of a fireplace or in an entrance hall.
